Review: Birdemic - Shock and Terror (2010)

Up side to losing your sight is never having to watch Birdemic!
Wholly crap!  I knew this movie was going to be bad, but neither my brain nor my soul were ready for this utter disaster.  It's like a high school kid with a $100 camera, free editing software and a severe brain injury made this movie.  So I guess the story behind this movie is that a guy named James Nguyen (not actually a high-schooler) made some money running a movie blog (I'd love to know his secret) and used it to make this atrocity/eco-guilt-trip.  This story is about a couple who very awkwardly fall in love and are then immediately swept up in a full scale attack from nature birds attempt to seek revenge on the humans for ruining the Earth.  The acting is so wooden there is a chance your eyes may get splinters and feels like the "filmmakers" only gave them one take... no matter what.  The dialogue reads as if it was written in a different language... then translated into yet another language, before finally being re-translated into English.  Not for the casual movie watcher, but if you grab some friends and a drink or two it takes on a whole new life.  This film taught me that birds can explode, movie bloggers can make movies (so watch out world) and most importantly never ever poop in the tall grass during a birdemic!
