Many forget - or do not realize - that Stiller is also a director, helming Reality Bites (1994), Cable Guy (1996), Zoolander (2001), and Tropic Thunder (2008). He is currently working on directing and starring in a remake of the 1947 comedy The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. After that, he is in line for his first foray into the horror genre - though he did have a bit part in an ultra-corny horror movie staring Chad Lowe called Highway to Hell (1991), but that doesn't really count. The Mountain is set in the 1900's and involves a young woman who finds a mysterious object that forces her to examine the secrets of her past. Extremely vague at this point, but will be interesting to see what he can bring to this movie. Helen Childress wrote the script and will team up with Stiller again after they first worked together on Reality Bites (1994), which is her only writing credit to date. An odd pairing of two people unversed in the horror genre, but odd can work, too.
